What time does my trash need to be at the curb?
Trash needs to be at the curb by midnight the night before your scheduled collection day.
Does trash inside my cart have to be bagged?
We do recommend bagging your trash so that it can be cleanly dumped by our drivers. Our drivers will not reach down into the cart or can to remove stuck/frozen trash.
What holidays might affect my collection day?
Mars Waste observes Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day on the days on which they fall. If your collection falls on or after a holiday, it will be one day later that week.
Where should I place my trash can?
Place cart on a level area with no more than 3 ft. from the street, with wheels away from street and lid opening to the street.
Keep 3 ft. away from any object such as a mailbox, vehicle, tree, basketball hoop, etc.
Trash Cart: Use trash bags and keep lid closed. Drivers will not reach into carts to remove items frozen to the bottom.
How do I dispose of a refrigerator or air conditioner?
These items can be disposed of for an additional pre-paid fee. Keep in mind that anything that contains refrigerant, such as an air conditioner or fridge, needs to show proof that it was professionally removed. Please contact us before setting these types of items out for collection.
How many trash bags can I set out per collection day?
We offer a prepaid service. Mars Waste's Disposal fee is $25.00 per month for one trash can and $39 per month for 2 cans, for once-a-week trash collection. This amount covers only the trash bags that fit inside of the trash bin with the lid closed. Any bags left outside of the bin or stacked above the lid level will need to be paid before pick up. You must call to make a payment before your scheduled pick up day, when you have extra trash, so that we can notify the driver on your route or it won't be collected. If your home frequently has more trash bags than what fit inside of one trash bin, we encourage you to request 2 or more trash bins, depending on your needs.
